Landmark

Today, Tim freely listens to Carla Bruni. Is this for her mellifluous chords or her strikingly luscious exterior? Perhaps both. None-the-less, the maudlin John Mayer is losing playing time--and this, my daffy little readers, is a salient point of conversion from mob behaviour to an ear searching for truth; not immediate gratification from trash blowing in the wind.

Regardless, Tim has auditory ADD; therefore, switching songs about every fifteen seconds and arousing cholericism within my soul.

Oh, he plays The National now! Loneys! The world is not so cold.

This Tim sounds quite hip... I'm sure his John Mayer fascinations have dissipated of late. He has quite an ear! As far as I know... listening to such gold as Chicago, Dave Matthews Band, Tower of Power, Miles Davis... The list never ends. Sure, they've all made a lot of money... but like any other artists, they have/had drug problems, marital issues, psychological breakdowns... In fact, Tower of Power have lost many members to drug/gang warfare. The beat goes on..
Peace bonmomie

Oh daffy writer, I too once attempted to convert my roommates to my impeccable musical taste. Lots of bad things ensued.
1) Grace loved Guster for like two days, and then returned to incessant Snow Patrol and consequently crushed my heart like a bug in the ground.
2) Liz grew to recognize Trey Anastasio's voice, and forevermore referred to him as "that terrible man" because she too was daffy.
3) Kimber chose to forever associate the po' white anthem "Freebird" with me because I once concluded an argument by blasting it throughout the entire house and running away.

Alright... I've had enough of this. Your cynicisms are biased... Honestly, harping on the 'daffy' populous... Meanwhile, most of these 'daffy' folk consider you to be the offbeat ones. Now, your whole movement against the 'mainstream' or the 'common-mans' music is atrocious at best. It is simply segregation. This strikes me personally because I'm being scoffed at by people who are blinded by obvious truths that lie right in front of their eyes. Think back, way back... is the music of Mozart, Beethoven, Bach or Vivaldi any less brilliant because if was, and in classical realms still is, mainstream? Of course not! I've been around music my entire life... I do it for a living. I am taking it in university. I could argue against your choices of music on many different levels... I could argue against many of my musical choices as well. What is really important here is that you learn to appreciate, no enjoy or yourself listen to, our musical choices. There is a lot of shit out there that I won't listen to. Much of this pop/rap... some of it doesn't qualify as music... but even still, learn to coincide without putting down others for their music choices. I have listened to much of your non-mainstream music, and have enjoyed quite a lot of it. But, just because someone makes a lot of money for their work... just because they have a fan base so large that many of the fans don't understand the artists intentions... does not make that artist bad in any way.
So, in the future... I would prefer not the be referred to as a 'daffy'. Music is made for the enjoyment of all... it shouldn't be used as a chopping block. That is all, happy listening
